We have overcome hurricanes, freezing temperatures, dangerous heat, well-intentioned family members, not-so-well-intentioned family members, and a host of other obstacles that threatened our clients’ vision. Michelle Maslowski

Owner/Creative Director

Michelle started her career as a lawyer, but could not resist the pull of her family’s legacy—flowers! A third-generation florist, some of her earliest childhood memories include processing flowers at her grandmother’s shop in northern Indiana. She grew her love of flowers working along side her mom in creating amazing wedding florals for couples all over Indiana. Ask her and she will tell you that she was trained by the best! She brings her passion and years of experience in this art to the Owner/Creative Director role for One of a Kind Events.

Favorite flower: Peonies (for the moment—it’s always changing!). Other favorites include: Leonidas roses, Juliet garden roses, and Fritillaria.

Favorite place in the world: Paris. I lived there as a kid for a while and I have never outgrown my love for that city!

Current obsessions: My coffee-infused face exfoliant, redecorating my house, and binge-watching my show du jour on Netflix!

Relaxation must: A good book and a glass of dry red wine that allows me to escape for a few minutes!

Mandy Holman

Floral Manager

Mandy has been designing exceptional weddings and special events for over 20 years. Her love for the beauty in flowers began at a young age as a “military brat” growing up and experiencing different cities and styles. She started her journey by working in a flower shop on base for “fun” and cultivated a passion to pursue an education in the floral industry.

Mandy enjoys the whole process of event planning from the moment she meets her clients to learn about their “style” to the designing and following through to make her clients special day as unique as they are. She prides herself on making her clients’ vision come to life with just a short conversation. Her passion stems from the beauty in envisioning something and implementing the steps to make that vision emerge (Mandy pre-dates Pinterest!).

Favorite Flower: What designer doesn’t like them all?? If I had to pick just one, it would be the peony. I love the peony not only for its beauty but for it’s meaning—peonies represent a happy marriage during the years after the “I DO”

Relaxation Must-Have: Watching Fixer Upper while sipping on a glass of dry red wine and nibbling on some dark chocolate.
